Why is our school called ”Mher’s door”?

Mher’s door or Agravakar is a rock in Western Armenia near Van Fortress.

According to the legend, the last hero of  “Sasna Tsrer”-Pokr Mher, disturbed by the injustices of the world,  is locked there.

One day a shepherd sees that the rock has opened, but Mher does not come out. He asks when he should leave.

Mher has answered that he will come out when the grain of wheat is bigger than the walnut, and when the barley is bigger than the rosehip.

Mher and his horse must stay there as long as humanity, justice, honesty and peace reign in the world.

The goal of our school is to open the door of Mher, by  educating and uniting armenians all over the world.
